Amicus Artists at the Mason Home

The Amicus Trio presents a dazzeling program of Russian and Armenian music featuring the Piano Trio in F# minor by Arno Babajanian, which Shostakovich called "One of the masterpieces of the 20th century," and the Prokovief Cello Sonata in C Major.

Violinist Melody Chang, a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music and USC's Thornton School of Music, was the first prize winner of the 2013 Third Hong Kong International Violin Competition. Cellist Coleman Itzkoff, a graduate of USC's Thornton School of Music, is the 2016 artist-in-residence for Heifetz On Tour. Itzkoff has performed at the Aspen, La Jolla, Yellow Barn & Music@Menlo festivals. Alin Melik-Adamian, also a graduate of USC's Thornton School of Music, took first prize at the Los Angeles Liszt International Competition and won the 2014 MTNA State Piano Competition.
